Both of
these radially configured capacitors are housed in glass filled P.B.T.
cases and epoxy resin encapsulant. Both materials fulfil the V-0
requirements of flammability standard U.L.94; the former for 0.7mm
samples, the latter for 3.2mm samples. The large range of capacitance
and voltage combinations offers a ready solution to most circuit
designers needs.
The RNRT polyester version is most appropriate for use in timing and
tuning circuits where capacitance stability, high insulation resistance
and low losses are of prime importance. The polypropylene RNRP version
with its inherently low loss, ensures that power dissipation is reduced
to a minimum even at high frequencies, making the components suitable
for a wide range of applications such as filters, loudspeaker
crossovers etc. |
